I have made that sound very basic, and it is, but there is more to it than that. Let’s break down each step.

Finding a product. The easy answer is to find what is selling. Just pick a niche that you are familiar with, or willing to research, and find the hot sellers in that niche.

Clickbank is a great place to start. They have thousands of products in about every possible niche already set up with landing pages, ad ideas and banners. When you sort for your niche you want to do so by gravity. The gravity identifies the hottest sellers.

Getting some traffic. Getting traffic will always be the challenge no matter what home based business you choose. There are also as many ways to get traffic as there are products.

Here is a piece of advice; do not buy products offering easy ways to get traffic, for that matter don’t try to sell any of those either. Many of these products just do not work the way they are hyped.

If you are on a limited budget while building you home based business then learn the free methods and master them first.

Article marketing is probably the best to get started with, this is where your knowledge or willingness to research comes. In order to get found on the internet you have to put up some content and in order for that content to get you any traffic it has to be good.

Of course the final step in the process is the sale.

Once your visitor finds your content and clicks to your offer, when they buy, the sale gets credited to you. If you are using Clickbank the process is automated and linked to your account. You will have to sign up for one but it is free. Each sale gets credited to your account and they send you a check twice a month just like clockwork.
