More tips on How to Achieve Financial Success.
The idea of achieving financial success with a homebased business is appealing to everyone.
However, as we have discussed, we must get ourselves out of the job mentality and into a business man
mentality or that of a millionaire.
One important step we touched on is managing our money so we bring about more prosperity.
This is
a universal law.
Based on the Law of Attraction, whatever you are thinking about you will bring about.
Period! Its the law.
If you are focused on what you don't have, money, you will get more of that, not having enough.
Until you can prove to God and the universe, depending on your beliefs, that you are responsible for what you are given
you will not be able to bring about more.
By learning and appling the tips to financial success you begin to make this mindset change. You are no
longer focused on what you do not have, but instead on the fact that you do have enough. You can pay all your bills,
you can eliminate unneeded debt and that you can handle more.
The next step to attaining financial success is to know where your money is going.
Now I am not talking about the
monthly payments, we have addressed that already. I am talking about the change. Everything else that eats at our
checkbook that we don't usually count. Like coffee, cigarettes, candy bars, take out food and anything else that may fit
in here. The most effective way to find these little gems is by using a money journal.
(coming soon)
Your job here is to log every expense on the journal for a couple of weeks even a month so that you may see where
all the rest of your money is going. You may be shocked at what you spend on extras.
My wife and I took on this challenge and found a huge expense.
It seems we were spending a small fortune on beverages.
Between the bottled water, soda, juice for the kids and others, we were spending close to $30 a week just to drink. I know it
sounds crazy but this was crisis time for us and we needed to know where every penny went.
We found the problem when we just
couldn't get out of the store on budget from our envelope system. It was embarassing to have to pick things out of the cart each week.
Well upon closer investigation we find all these added expenses.
We solved our problem by first eliminating the bottled water. We bought a purifing pitcher instead. It cost about $20, but
it will last forever except for changing the filters once in a while. We saved up some bottles so we had some for when we were on the go
and that saved about $6.00 a week.
Next we looked at the tea we were buying and found that they had powdered packets of the same product that was designed to mix
one bottle at a time. And they cost less than half of the bottled stuff. Heck we had our own water and bottles, why keep buying more.
Another savings of about $5.00 a week.
Does this all sound trivial to you?
Well it may be for some, but for us at the time it was essential to pinch every penny. We had gone
deep into debt while I was off work for my health, and the bill collectors wanted their money. They have no patience and no sympathy. So
to be responsible, you do what you must.
Another thing we found was that we were spending money on eating out for ice cream sundaes.
Any of you that shop know that
ice cream is pretty cheap when you buy by the 1/2 gallon or gallon. But we were not buying it at the store because we were trying to
eat healthier, so instead we would go out once, twice sometimes more a WEEk! (So much for eating healthy.)
And the cost just didn't jive
with our new found thrifty lifestyle. So we started buying the store ice cream, and bought the yogurt or lite variety which is better for you,
and stopped running to the parlor for treats.
First thing we noticed was the savings in money, second the savings on the waistline.
Now we reward ourselves with a family day
once a month to go to a park or zoo, then out for ice cream afterwards. It has become a planned and anticipated event that we all look forward to.
Please, do not misunderstand. You do not have to give up everything in your life to master your money.
The idea is to take back
control. Its just like a diet, everythings fine in moderation. That 1 piece of cake won't ruin your diet, the whole cake will. Look for the little
things that you were not paying attention to before. Those are the little nuggets that can turn into diamond mines.
Once you have turned to corner on your finances you can do what you want, when you want. Now thats Freedom.
Being able to go and do without
money worries will change your life. And all these little sacrifices will not be sacrifices at all then.
You deserve better then the stress that comes
from money problems. Take control now and you will develope the money mindset and habit that keep the rich people rich.
Most millionaires are self made.
They have been where you've been, heck I have been there, and they know where you want to go. They use money as a tool
to achieve success.
I would bet that once your a millionaire,(you do desire to be a millionaire don't ya?), that these habits will keep you from going back.
Thats why the rich get richer, they don't abandon the good money habits when they have money. They continue to use them to STAY that way.
Because once you've
made it you never will want to go back!
Check back often, we have lots of information for you coming soon.
Success is a choice, you need only decide.
