Make a Plan, Take Action and React—Basic yet the Best Internet Marketing Strategies
Which would you rather have, a brick and mortar clothing store or an online clothing store? To understand why Internet Marketing is the choice in this technology based world we need to see what the major differences are between them and why entrepreneurs around the world are choosing internet marketing.
The most obvious reasons are the cost in owning a traditional store. To get started you will need to obtain a business permit from all the agencies that need a piece of your profit right out of the gates.
Next is the store front to house your business. Then of course you will need stock to sell to all the floods of people who will be rushing into your store to buy from you. (At least you hope) In order to get all those customers you will need to advertise in your local markets.
Now with internet marketing and an online store you can set up a store, or website, in a matter of hours and you’re ready for your customers to knock down your doors.
You can set up online catalogs for ordering; a merchant account or PayPal to process the order, and the clothing lone will do all you shipping. Sounds easy! Right?
If you just look at the examples, it is certainly cheaper and quicker to get started on the net. However we are still forgetting the critical element in any business online or traditional…Marketing! Or, in the case of doing business online, Internet Marketing.
So before you start spending your millions you must have your plan and internet marketing strategies in place. This is where most home based business owners get killed and why the survival rate is so low online. Don’t forget that only around 3-websites every get any real traffic. So the idea that if you build it they will come is a complete myth, especially online.
There are as many strategies as failed business’s out there so plan well and use what works for you. Here are a few ideas.
• Plan out your internet marketing activities. In order to plan for success you need to know these things. What do you want to do? What are you selling? What’s the best way to reach your target audience? Answer these and you will be better prepared to start you campaigns.
• Take action. That is why my philosophy is KNOWLEDGE plus ACTION= SUCCESS. In the first step we got the knowledge by focusing on what we are attempting to achieve, now we are going to put those ideas into action.
• Open yourself up for comments and feedback. Who better to assist you to making more sales than your customer or site visitors? Part of moving forward and using what works is to ask “What would like to see here?” your visitors will appreciate your asking and they will help you find where to focus your efforts.
