Here is a snap shot of my journey to Homebased Business Success.
I would like to take a minute and give you a view of my journey to Homebased Business Success.
I was your typical working class stiff when I got started in a Home
Business. Having been a aerospace machinist for over 20 years I was just
like most of you, sick of WORKING!
I had tried several different opportunities before going online, but with
little success to speak of. One of the things I discovered in my trials was
that many of the businesses that I tried were not really what I wanted to do, I just saw them as an opportunity
to make money and, hopefully quit my job. Well that was not the case.
Why? Because it wasn't something I was passionate about.
I also need to let know that I am a recovering workaholic.
Even when I was putting in 12 hour days, seven days a week, it wasn't
enough. I was still searching for a chance to stay home if I could. I grew up with the work ethic that says "If you want
to get anywhere you have to work hard for it!" Have any of you had the same advise?
So even when I was not at work I was working part time or with other opportunites trying to get ahead.
In true workaholic fashion, when I wasn't working I felt useless. I was
crabby and took it out on my family. I got mad at my wife if she spent what
I thought was too much money and we never could "afford"
to do anything. All I thought I should be doing was working to support my
family.
About 2 years ago things came crashing down around me.
I learned that I was going to be laid off in less than a year when the company sent my job overseas. Now the race was on,
I had to work even more so I could prepare to lose my job. And I knew I would never find a job that paid as well as what I made. The pressure was on.
Two months later I went to see my doctor because I was feeling the
pressure, and so was my family. I figured I wuld tell her what was up and
maybe she could give me something to help me cope better.
Being a good doctor, she required a full physical before she would prescribe
anything, so we started the work up.
To make a long story short, and avoid this sounding like a sob story I ended up
with open heart surgery, a metal valve, 3 inches of new artery and a
pacemaker to boot.
Thats when I knew it was time to change. While I was off recovering I
started to look for the opportunity to get out of my job and be free from
all that stress. Like many of you, I found lots of empty promises
and Get Rich Quick(GRQ) crap. It all sounds great when you read the sale
page doesn't it, but results are a little tougher to muster.
When the doctor released me to go back to work, there I was working like a
dog again just like before. It didn't take long before my next wake up call.
I started to get very weak, so back to the doctor I went. Above everything else, I now had congestive heart failure to
go with it. I needed to change my lifestyle quick or risk losing my life!
I was off again until I regained my strength so I recommitted to making a
business work for me. I had gotten started with an opportunity the first
time but still seemed to struggle. This time I was going to make it.
This time there was no going back, thats what I kept saying.
When you struggle with finding success you often look to blame the program
or the people or the system or anything else you can think of...because it
can't possiblly be me right? Wrong! I was stuck in the vicious
cycle that is "work" I was stuck on the sure thing, the steady paycheck, the
thing I knew the best...Work!
When I finally realized the cycle I was in I vowed to break it. You can not move forward until you can say Enough is Enough!
